Under the Sea
I am currently expanding this collection with more assets—including characters, graphics, scenes, and 3D design concepts—into a themed experience with distinct chapters and product applications. Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in exploring how we can bring this vision to reality.
Under the Sea is a marine-themed art collection that I’ve wanted to create for a long time. While working on these pieces, I reconnected with the little girl who used to rely on daydreams to escape the monotony of small-town life. This series reflects both my current aesthetic and state of mind. I want to share some joy and naivety through it.
I imagined a light, playful, and colorful fantastical deep sea world, where the creatures are strange yet endearing, untouched by gravity. This world is filled with spontaneous emotions, effortless contentment, joyful stories, and in some of the forms, metaphors of memory and psychology.
I give different personalities to these sea creatures: a friendly and childlike octopus, a lobster that loves to show off its colorful shell, a quiet yet determined jellyfish, a flexible and lighthearted sea snake, and so on while gradually expanding these concepts into larger-scale scenes, patterns, more color variations, and even three-dimensional installations and product designs.
