Old Stories 2020

In 2020, I began experimenting with recreating famous artworks. I explored using digital tools and clear imagery to reinterpret some of my favorite masterpieces, reimagining classical romance with a modern aesthetic.

During the early lockdown of the pandemic, I sensed a spreading emotion of escaping reality and seeking pastoral idylls. This series of illustrations reflects these feelings, returning to the tranquil and distant ancient era in a time of anxiety.
